Kamloops was alive with action again as we approached the 800 hd mark for one incredible sale. Replacement hfrs were a huge addition to our sale as several Ranches brought us a super group of breeding hfrs. The sale started with some excellent Red Angus Cow/Calf pairs from Bill Armstrong in Salmon Arm, they traded to 2200.00. Rob Blacklock from Armstrong had pairs reach 2325.00 per pair. The Salle Ranch put a top on our Butcher cow trade with 1610 lb cows at 95.00. Feeder cattle caught fire with the Willow Ranch presenting over 100 hd of premium quality 703 lb Blk Angus strs marking 200.00. 19 hd of their strs weighing 618 lb raced to 228.50. A ring full of their 36 Blk Angus hfrs 625 lb today set in at 194.00, their 556 lb h/c hit 214.00. Ian & Jo Nelson showcased 912 lb Red Angus/Red Angus Simm x replacement quality hfrs that traded to 190.00. Their pen of 829 lb Red hfrs hit 206.00. Jamie & Maureen Janzen had 640 lb Red x hfrs sell to 186.00. The Buff Ranch filled the ring with their 684 lb Blk Angus hfrs selling to 184.75, and their 613 lb Blk hfrs sold to 195.00. RW Cattle Co out of Cherryville had 516 lb Angus x s/c hit 240.00. The 475 lb h/c reached 207.00. Bruce Prebushewski had 728 lb Blk strs sold to 196.00. Randy Prebushewski, 500 lb s/c sold to 237.00 and the 492 lb h/c sold to 212.00. Jon Peachey had a beautiful liner load of 748 lb hfrs sell to 177.00 and 565 lb strs top 230.00. Wayne & Jill Hughes from Lumby showcased one incredible load of Blk Angus hfrs. Their 771 lb hfrs today saw 211.00, their 769 lb hfrs brought 210.00. Brian Foley Jr, today had 646 lb strs top 213.00, his 539 lb s/c hit 240.00 and the 629 lb h/c hit 193.50. Butcher cows and bulls traded fully steady. Clemitson Ranch’s 2270 lb bull hit 115.50. Schweb Family Farm with a nice pen of 604 lb Blk Angus hfrs trading to 195.00. Well, this was one incredible spring sale.
